The Translation Process
Intellingua provides consistently superior translations because
of our network of highly skilled translators and rigid quality
assurance process. We
realize that the best translators are not located in one geographic
area. The best translators are freelance translators located
throughout the world. Our network of highly skilled translators
allows us to deliver the highest quality, and ensures that
the translator handling your project specializes in your particular
field of business. This results in consistently superior translation
quality.

Request a quotation by phone or by e-mail (e-mail
your request). We quickly return a non-binding quotation
based on factors such as the difficulty of the subject matter,
time frame required, and volume of the project. Most quotation
requests are returned in minutes.

Once the quotation has been accepted, a project manager analyzes your document
and assigns it to a translator with experience relevant to
your field. That translator will work closely with our project
manager to clarify any terminology questions. For English-to-Japanese
translation, we use only native writers of Japanese with extensive
translation experience.
For high volume projects, we offer the added service of glossary
creation, which ensures that future translations will use
the same terminology. We manage these terminology lists for
you and ensure that all translations remain consistent. We
also use translation memory tools such as Trados to ensure
that future translations remain consistent.

The finished translation is then sent to a native Japanese-speaking editor
who checks the document for content and style. This final
step ensures that your document will be read by the sophisticated
Japanese consumer as if it were originally written in Japanese,
and prevents your message from getting lost in translation.

Our Japanese-speaking project manager receives the finalized translation and takes one last look at the document. We then forward you the completed translation along with an invoice. First-time clients are expected to pay one-third of the total amount in advance, and the remaining two-thirds upon delivery. Subsequent translations are invoiced for payment within net 30 days.
